How BlinkCV collects, uses, shares and protects personal information on the Recruiter Platform.

1. Who we are
BlinkCV is a product operated by Magellanix Technology Solutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. Registered office: 2/534, Sundeep Road, Neelangarai, Chennai - 600115, Tamil Nadu, India. Data protection contact: info@blinkcv.ai.
2. Information we collect
Recruiter and user information:
- Name, email address, company and role in the workspace
- Authentication information (email/password sign-in or Google sign-in)
- Account and workspace settings
- Billing and subscription information (plan, status, payment references; card details are handled by Razorpay, not stored by us)
- Usage and activity information, including audit logs of actions in the workspace
Recruitment information:
- Jobs and screening questions you create
- Applications, CVs, Career Snapshots and screening answers received from Candidates
- Recruitment stages, interview details and recruiter notes where applicable
- Hiring Scores and Candidate Intelligence outputs
Technical information:
- IP address and approximate country (used for security and geographic availability)
- Browser and device information
- Security logs and authentication events
- Cookies and similar browser storage (see our Cookie Policy)
- Platform usage, such as job-page views and the source of a visit

- Account management and providing the Platform
- Running recruitment workflows and candidate matching
- AI-assisted recruitment, the Hiring Score and Candidate Intelligence
- Security, fraud and abuse prevention
- Billing and subscriptions
- Customer support and service emails
- Basic product analytics such as job-page view counts and visit sources
- Legal compliance
4. AI processing and human oversight
Candidate Intelligence evaluates job-relevant evidence from the job description, CV, Career Snapshot and screening answers to produce an explainable, job-specific Hiring Score. It does not evaluate protected characteristics, appearance, facial expressions or emotions.
AI outputs support recruiters; final hiring decisions are always made by people. More detail is in our AI & Responsible AI Policy.
The current AI provider is OpenAI - gpt-6-astra. BlinkCV does not use Customer Data or Candidate Data to train general-purpose AI models. AI processing is performed to provide the applicable BlinkCV functionality and in accordance with the applicable privacy, contractual and data-processing terms.
5. Candidate data responsibilities
Candidates create their accounts, CVs and Career Snapshots on the BlinkCV Candidate Platform. When they apply to a job, the hiring Organisation uses their information for its recruitment and is responsible for that use; BlinkCV processes it on the Organisation's behalf as described in the Data Processing Agreement.
7. Storage location and international transfers
The Recruiter Platform's production database is hosted on managed cloud PostgreSQL deployed on dedicated cloud infrastructure in the AWS Asia Pacific (ap-northeast-1) region. India-only availability refers to who may access the Platform, not to where data is physically stored. Third-party services may process data according to their applicable infrastructure and contractual arrangements. Some of our providers may process information outside India. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual protections with those providers.
8. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Platform and meet legal obligations. Workspace data is kept when a subscription ends or is downgraded so it is not lost. Retention periods:
- Recruiter account data: 6 years
- Candidate/Application data: 6 years
- Closed jobs: 1 year
- Logs/Security records: 1 year
- Billing/Payment records: 6 years
Retention is subject to applicable legal, contractual and legitimate business requirements. Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days as part of normal backup, disaster-recovery and business-continuity processes. Backup retention does not mean deleted data remains actively available to users.
9. Security
We use access controls that separate each workspace, encrypted connections, role-based permissions, audit logging and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected parties of a personal data breach as required by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to:
- Access a summary of your personal information
- Correct or update it
- Request erasure
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights
- Raise a grievance

India-only availability
The BlinkCV Recruiter Platform is currently available for use only from India. Access or use from outside India, or attempts to circumvent geographic restrictions, is not authorized.
This geographic restriction exists because of the privacy, data protection, regulatory and service-delivery requirements that apply to recruitment and to the personal information processed on the platform.
- Access or use from outside India is not authorized.
- Attempts to circumvent geographic restrictions are prohibited.
- Such use may fall outside BlinkCV's intended service and data-processing arrangements.
- BlinkCV may block, suspend or terminate unauthorized access.
- Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
BlinkCV uses reasonable measures to apply this restriction but cannot perfectly determine any user's physical location.
12. Changes
Material changes are published as a new version with a new date, and we ask for acknowledgement where required.
